Saad, a young illegal immigrant from Morocco, plans a perilous journey to Canada with Reza, his Iranian lover, Reza. Upon arriving in Montreal, Saad is called to save Reza from certain deportation to Iran, where inevitable punishment awaits. In a desperate move, Saad tries to seduce a high-ranking spokesperson from the Ministry of Immigration, in the hope of obtaining favors regarding Reza’s safety.

Léa Pool
Born in Genève, Léa Pool is a renowned Canadian director and screenwriter, who studied cinema at the University of Québec in Montréal. She is known for her sensitive films exploring identity, desire and memory, such as Set Me Free, Lost and Delirious and The Passion of Augustine. Her films have won awards at the Berlinale, Génie Awards and Iris Awards.
