Céline is expecting her first child, but she is not the one who is pregnant; her wife Nadia is. As the non-biological parent, Céline must first fight for recognition of her role. In the process, she questions not only what motherhood means to her, but also seeks a way back to her own mother.

Alice Douard
Alice Douard was born in Bordeaux and studied directing at La Fémis. Her graduation film Extrasystole was purchased by the TV channel Arte and screened at the Angers European First Film Festival and the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, among others. Douard went on to make other short films, including the César Award-winning L’attente. Her debut feature film Love Letters recently premiered in the Semaine de la Critique section of the Cannes Film Festival.
