Mickael Yip
Born in the Paris suburb of Chinese Cambodian parents, Mickael always had a particular interest in cinema and wanted to tell stories about the French-Chinese double culture, the LGBTQ+ community, his parents’ story in Cambodia and France, interpersonal relationships, dance and other societal subjects. After moving back to Paris in 2022, he took a directing course at the ESRA Paris school. He wrote and directed his first self-produced film Thin Lines in 2025.
